Ali joined Farani Taylor in February 2015, bringing with him over seven years’ of experience in dealing with all areas of private and commercial immigration.
Ali’s experience in immigration includes applications under the Points Based System mainly Tier 1 (Investor, Entrepreneur & Graduate Entrepreneur), Tier 2 (General and Intra Company Transfer (ICT) for both long term and short term staff) and Tier 4 (General).
Ali also deals with complex immigration matters for clients including advice on the family applications, spouse/ unmarried partner/ civil partner visa applications; dependent relative visa applications, British citizenship, European Union, Human Rights and Visitors visa applications. Ali has worked on numerous EU free movement cases and in challenges to the extended family member provisions with particular reference to durable relationships (unmarried partners). He has represented clients with their premium applications appointments at the Home Office Public Enquiry Offices on numerous occasions. He has also repeatedly accompanied clients with their marriage interviews at the Liverpool nationality centre.
Ali has successfully assisted numerous clients’ in challenging the Home Office decisions by way of appeals at First-tier Tribunal and by way of judicial review at Upper Tribunal and Court of Appeal.
Education
He holds a Bachelor degree in Business IT and a Graduate Diploma in Law from London Metropolitan University. He also completed a legal practice course (LPC) in 2013 from London Metropolitan University with commendation.
