Qudsia Hameed is a trainee solicitor who has worked at Farani Taylor Solicitors since 2019. She has experience in Wills, Trusts, Probate, Immigration, and Family Law.

Estate Planning

Qudsia is currently specialising in Wills and Trusts, she has amassed a wealth of experience dealing with complex estate planning. Further, she helps her clients to structure their affairs in a manner that is tax-efficient whilst protecting their beneficiaries.

Her expertise in Wills includes drafting complex Wills and Will Trust structures for high-net-worth clients, Islamic Wills, Administration of Trusts, and other estate planning techniques. Qudsia conducts detailed fact finds with her clients to ensure that her advice meets their needs and covers everything. She works closely with Ben Lockyer on complex estate planning matters.

She has a particular specialism in Islamic Wills or Wills that have Islamic precedent. Working closely with Zahur Chowdhry, Head of Islamic Wills, helping Muslims across the UK to fulfill a vital duty. Perfectly placed to advise on Islamic Wills because of her comprehension of the law and inheritance tax combined with her knowledge of Shariah inheritance.

Family Law

Qudsia’s exceptional eye for detail whilst maintaining a client-centric relationship was spotted by our Family Department. She works with Sally Masango to help our clients to organise their child’s living arrangements following separation.

She assists in the preparation of documents for court orders as well as for divorce proceedings. Providing an understanding ear, Qudsia can help explain sensitively the legal issues whilst maintaining her compassionate approach.


Qudsia had a seat working in the Immigration Department working on a variety of applications. She has a breadth of knowledge in immigration law and how it affects Visa applications.

Further, she worked with a wide range of private and corporate clients, helping them submit applications with representations to provide the highest chance of success. She meticulously studied the rules and therefore is often asked to help the immigration team with complex drafting.

  • Worked on a complex case helping a client with multiple properties to organise family wealth transfer in the most tax-efficient manner.
  • Qudsia recently drafted complex Islamic Wills that mitigate as much tax as possible whilst ensuring they comply with Shariah. Further, helped draft detailed instructions for the trustees to follow, that outline the specific wishes and outline agreements made by the beneficiaries.

In her spare time, Qudsia loves to read. She also loves to travel immersing herself in various cultures.
