Pothiayah’s legal practice comprises of Immigration, Employment, Road Traffic Offences, Criminal Injuries Compensation and Housing Law. He is an experienced Solicitor who has been instructed in the Appeal matters for both criminal and civil law matters which include representations at the High Court and the Crown Court. In the past, Pothiayah has served at the Clerk at the Magistrate’s Court. He is also an authorised Commissioner for Oaths and a qualified Court Interpreter.

Prior to commencing his legal practice in the UK, Pothiayah has served the honourable Malaysian Judiciary for 10 years. His international experience has earned him trust and faith of foreign clients, particularly those coming from South Asian backgrounds.
Pothiayah’s kind mannerisms and detailed knowledge on his practice areas are always well assuring for the clients that their instructions would be carried out in the most care and integrity.
Client’s established faith in Pothiayah following representations at Immigration appeals have resulted in new client referrals for the firm through a good word of mouth. Pothiayah has personally appeared on behalf of his clients for immigration matters and has attained successful results for them.
In addition to the immigration cases, Pothiayah has an exceptional success rate for Employment and Road Traffic Accident matters as well. His representation in respect of Road traffic offences have been seen with a successful negotiation with a reduction of point and fines that have prevented disqualification of his clients’ driving licence. Furthermore Pothiayah has been able to achieve a good compensation from Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority in respect to the vulnerable members of the society who have been victims of crime.
Housing and Tenancy disputes is yet another area of specialism for Pothiayah where he has achieved desirable results for tenants and landlords alike.
