Sara Khan

Head of the Crime Department

Sara joined the Criminal Department at Farani Taylor Solicitors in 2020. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2012 and has over 15 years’ experience in Criminal Law. She provides advice to adults, children and vulnerable individuals at all levels of the Criminal Justice System and defends clients from the point of investigation until the conclusion of the court case.

Sara acts for both privately and publicly funded cases.
Sara has attained Duty Solicitor status and is available to provide representation at short notice to suspects arrested for questioning at the police station, 24 hours a day.
She also has extensive experience acting for defendants at the Magistrates Court and Youth Court where she conducts her own advocacy from the first appearance to sentencing.
Sara has conduct of her own Magistrates and Crown Court case load which range from straightforward and minor offences to complex, high-profile and mutli-handed matters. She has also defended in proceedings brought by the Department of Work and Pensions, HM Revenue and Customs, the RSPCA, the Federation Against Copyright Theft and the Environmental Protection Act.
